What Are Some of the VolleyBall Basics

103 1
Some Volleyball basics consist of the ball must cross over the net between the outer poles .
The Ball should also contact the lower half of the palm, with the wrist very quickly snapping over the top so that the rest of the hand imparts power and topspin on the ball.
Fingers should be spread slightly, to maximize area of contact.
Ball pressure should generally be between 4.
3 to 4.
6 pounds.
The net should be 32 feet by 3 feet.
Teams are permitted two thirty-second time-outs per game and may use them when the ball is not in play.
The team captain serves as the game captain while on the court.
When not on the court, another player (but not the libero) assumes this role.
Some very good volleyball drills are when the Coach tosses the ball to the player and while contacting the ball the player pushes herself up from a chair.
That will teach volleyball players using their legs when passing.
Serve and Receive is also a play and it is fairly simple.
It is the ball that is served from one team and received by the other team.
With rally scoring, you hate to give up a point with a missed serve.
The key is not hard serving , but accurate serving, teaching the players to know and hit all 6 zones of the court, but if nothing else, to serve consistently to the middle of the opposing court.
If the players on a team can't work as a coordinated unit, it's nearly impossible to do well at the game.
And while we are on the subject lets not take anything away from the top tiered teams on the courts, they too are awesome players and rely on teamwork to win.
