Toyota launched its Scion brand to market for the 2003 model year with two offerings, the xA hatchback and the xB wagon. The two-door Scion tC sport coupe was launched as a 2004 model year offering to provide the new brand with its first two-door model. The first-generation tC's production run lasted trough the 2010 model year, when it was fully redesigned for the 2011 model year. - The 2009 Scion tC is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four-cylinder motor.
