Choosing the right pillowcase
For some reason, people choose the cheapest pillowcase that they find, and almost always sacrificing their quality and comfort for maybe a dollar or two.
That's crazy!
It's just like when people know that they will spend a lot of time on their feet, but not making sure to get good shoes. It just doesn't make any sense.
So then, why would you sleep on a pillowcase that's bad for your skin, your hair, isn't comfortable, and does not give you the deep sleep that your body needs just to save a few dollars?
Okay, so what should you look for in a pillowcase?
1) It should be as soft as you can get(Silk or Satin are preferred. I personally prefer a Satin pillowcase)
2) You should also be able to easily clean your pillowcase! A dirty pillow case, no matter what the quality, is still a dirty pillowcase, and it will make you feel greasy, and you will wake up feeling very groggy without a clean pillowcase.
3) It should be affordable. You don't need to empty your wallet to get a pillowcase that will help you sleep better than you do now.
4) Take a look at reviews of the pillow case you are considering. If other people liked it, there's a decent chance that you will also like it.
5) Once you've picked out the pillowcase you like, keep using/getting it! Just like the old saying, "If it's not broke, don't fix it"
The benefits of having a good pillowcase are numerous.
You will start sleeping better, wake up more energized, and many times, skin problems will fix themselves(I had horrible acne for several years until I got my particular favorite pillowcase), if you have hair problems they will start reversing, and you'll be much more cheerful during your day.
