Football Friendly LG 47LH40 Brightens Any Darkened Room

If you're like we are in this household, picture quality is tantamount to your viewing experience.
And so with that in mind, we did our homework before bringing the LG 47LH40 into our home - but I can tell you we're sure happy we did! Most football games start in the afternoon and linger well into the evening hours.
As such, it was important to us that we have a television that would adapt virtually seamlessly to these changing light conditions without a whole lot of room adjustment through drape or blind openings and closings.
The 1080p resolution and 70,000:1 contrast ratio of the LG 47LH40 allows for this flat screen model to do all the adapting for you.
No more jumping up and down mid game to manually adjust the lighting in the room just to be able to see what's on television.
"Arm chairing" never got easier! For as much as we love the LG 47LH40 I have to mention that the LED backlighting can be a little bit of a downfall compared to other models - more often than not higher-level models - so I'm not sure if this is even an equal comparison or worth mentioning at all when considering the many other merits offered.
Still, the TruMotion 120Hz technology of the LG 47LH40 more than counters the tiny drawback just mentioned.
This feature reduces motion blur when watching fast-moving football plays (or other sports, for that matter) or fast-moving video games.
The TruMotion feature allows for rapid changes in color or contrast and in general provides an even heightened viewing experience (or playing experience in the case of video games).
All in all we couldn't be more pleased with our purchase decision and we can't wait for football season to kick off!
