Adrenal Failure Symptoms

Identification

• Addison's disease produces many obvious symptoms including muscle pain, fatigue, digestive disorders, irritability and depression.
  
  

Effects

• Severe bouts of diarrhea, vomiting and nausea remain common symptoms of adrenal failure. As a result, many also experience a sudden decrease in weight or a loss of appetite.
  
  

Warning

• Adrenal failure can cause some to experience low blood sugar levels, which in turn can lead to frequent fainting spells.
  
  

Features

• The altering of one's physical appearance or features may occur as the result of adrenal failure, including hyperpigmentation, or skin darkening.
  
  

Prevention/Solution

• Addison's disease can be treated with oral consumption of hormones. However if persistent vomiting remains a prevalent symptom you may have to receive corticosteroid injections instead.
