Calm Down, Relax, Loosen Up by Using This Unorthodox Meditation Technique

103 2
In this article I am presenting to you a method I use to allow myself to relax - that is, when you start using it, and form your own relationship to it, is actually very simple.
Use it to calm down and, in the long run, become more happy.
Are you ready for some abstract thinking? Good.
In this article you are going to have to let go, for a while, of the need to understand things the way you might be used to understand things -- logically.
You are going to have to think outside the box, perhaps radically so.
Let us start.
There are things around you always - I think we both can agree to that - but can you also agree to that there is space around you, even though you do not see it? You probably can, but do you take notice of this space? I think the answer is no - or else you might not get anything out of reading this article -- but why is it no? Perhaps because it is just "space", right? Or just "air" or whatever word you use to describe it.
Could you find some use for this air, other than the obvious one of breathing it in? Are you aware that taking notice of this air/space and, abstracting it one more step, the pauses in your life might actually cause you to relax for a moment? I think you should try it.
You will probably feel like a hippie, at first, but who cares, there is to much benefit in doing it to be bothered by that.
Now how do you actually do this, practically? Well it is difficult to explain in logical terms (and I do not think I can do that, so I will not try).
You need to shift your focus from all the things that are around you, to the space in between them.
Very difficult to explain but think of it like this on TV you have intense, probably ADD-inducing, advertising, that run 24/7.
What if the vibe of these ads represented your mind when it was its most chaotic, and a TV-show about nature would represent your regular thinking.
You do need intensity in your life, but there is no chance you will get control over it or be able to enjoy it because you are simply too stressed by it if you do not have some place to relax.
So "lesson for today", is start focusing on the spaces in between things.
Focus on your breath might be a good method.
I hope in using this method you become calm and can relax.
