Online Banking in Quickbooks

    • 1). Set up Quickbooks if you have not already done so. If you do not have Quickbooks software, set up one that supports online books. Quickbooks Pro, Premier and Enterprise Solutions 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 are all online banking compatible.

    • 2). Check to make sure that your financial institution supports online banking with Quickbooks (see Resources).

    • 3). Set up Quickbooks for online banking. Go into your Quickbooks account and go to Banking Menu, Online Banking and Set up Account for Online Services. Follow the simple instructions and Quickbooks is ready for online banking.

    • 4). Connect your financial institution with Quickbooks. To do this go to Banking Menu, Online Banking and the Online Banking Center. Select your particular financial institution and download your statements from your bank by clicking on Send/Receive Transactions. You are now ready to reconcile your statements with your records.

    • 5). Start carrying out your online transactions. Make payments and transfer funds between accounts successfully and your online banking in Quickbooks is all set.
