Kittens! Galore: Texas
My husband hadn't wanted to stop because he said "we are going to come home with a kitten." And, I said, "No, we are just going to look, I promise!"
So, after we went in, saw our future little Texas fast asleep with his siblings in the chair, I said, "We can go home and think about it. We will have to bring back the carrier." My (LOL) hard-core husband (or maybe my husband who knew his own soft heart) said, "Nah, you can just hold him. We aren't far from home." And, thus, little Texas came into our lives and embedded himself in our hearts.
He is actually 4 years old now and I cannot imagine life without him. He is intelligent, loving, and a true companion cat. He's "my boy" as my husband says, but he loves us both. He has his "issues" and we struggle with his habit of urinating out of his litter box- in any number of places- mostly tile and only sometimes carpet-sigh...but I don't think anything could EVER make us find him a new home. We are his people and he is our loving bud-bud. For better or for worse, as they say.
