- 1). Park your vehicle so that it is facing a closed garage door 25 feet away from the door.
- 2). Turn on the headlights.
- 3). Open the hood and turn the adjustment screws on each headlight housing using either a Phillips-head screwdriver, Torx-head screwdriver or socket wrench (depending on the particular setup of your headlights). The center of the headlight beam should be positioned at the base of the garage door where the door meets the ground. The headlights should overlap each other by 50 percent.
