Maroon 5 Tours Heats Up This Summer
In spite of a rather slow and rocky start off in the musical industry, Maroon 5 is now enjoying success with chart-topping music and a Grammy Award for Best New Artist under their belt.
Maroon 5 started enjoying its success in 2002, after the release of their debut album "Songs about Jane". Even though it took more than two years for this band to break through on the Billboard charts after the release for a single off the album "The Fourth World", which was a huge failure. After their success, the band continued to tour wherever they could until their music began to catch hold.
The band's next release in 2007, "It won't be Soon before Long", was touted as stronger and sexier, getting inspired form iconic 80s artists including Prince, Michael Jackson and Talking Heads. The band did not have to wait long for its single "Makes Me Wonder" to hit the charts, making the album No. 1 selling album. This song has made the biggest jump ever on Billboard history from No. 64 to No. 1, it also made it on number 1 on Pop 100, Billboard's Hot Digital Songs, and Hot Dance Club Play charts.
With four of the original band members still rocking with this fabulous group, the current line-up includes vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, guitarist James Valentine, bassist Michael Madden and drummer Matt Flynn. With many hit albums under their belt, this ensemble has released Hands All Over and Overexposed in 2012. "Payphone" their first single featuring rapper Wiz Khalifa, reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Recently Maroon 5 has released their second single "One More Night", which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
