How to Repair the Control Relay for the Coolant Fan on a Jeep Auto

    • 1). Loosen and remove your Jeep's negative battery cable with wrench.

    • 2). Locate your cooling fan relay. On most Jeeps, it will be down beneath your driver's-side headlight. However, if you do not find it immediately, check your owner's manual or call your Jeep dealership to pinpoint its exact location on your particular Jeep. It will be small and square in shape. Pull the relay from its socket.

    • 3). Plug the new, replacement cooling fan relay into the socket.

    • 4). Replace your negative battery cable.
