God"s Particle

The hype created by the 'God Particle' is just because of the name.
In a layman's viewpoint this may be something which indicates the existence of God.
But actually God here is just being used as a figure of speech.
The particle has nothing to do with the almighty.
It is a discovery in physics which has been refined and is becoming more popular now.
In fact the Particle already existed in physics as the 'Higgs Boson' particle.
'The God particle' is also known as Higgs boson.
Generally it may be termed as the minute particle which actually gives mass to any matter.
Mass is the most important property of any matter.
The Higgs Boson can be termed as one of the most important piece of the cosmic puzzle.
A standard model of any component in physics gives a detailed structure about the atoms and its integral parts like the electrons and photons.
Yet some properties like gravitational pull and so on suggest the existence of smaller particles than the well-known ones.
The 'Higgs Boson' seems to fill these gaps.
The Standard Model incorporates the 'God particle' and it is thought to have no electric charge, no spin and no colour too.
It is said to interact with other particles though a weak interaction.
It would be interesting to know that the man who actually made the world aware of the existence of the 'god particle' is not very pleased with the name.
Peter Higgs is an atheist and would still prefer the 'God particle' to be known as the Higgs Boson.
Hence the hype created by the name has nothing to do with God.
It is just a mere discovery of a minute particle which may solve a lot of mysteries in particle physics and advance the knowledge of the structure of atoms.
Some people have even related the discovery to indicate that God is omnipresent.
His presence is to be felt in each and every particle throughout the universe and this particle is the smallest and hence it may be the one in which God exists.
Still as they say 'facts are stranger than fiction' and so the 'God Particle' may help the physicists to solve a lot of mysteries associated with the properties in particle physics.
Who knows this may really provoke them to go ahead and find the maker of our universe too.
Hence the Higg Boson or the 'God particle' is another step of mankind to unravel the mysteries of God even though the name has created quite a stir throughout the world.
