How to Upgrade the Video Card for HP 515n
- 1). Turn off the computer and disconnect the power cable.
- 2). Remove all the cables and external components that are connected to the computer.
- 3). Situate the computer in an open, flat space and lay it on the side with the removable cover facing upward.
- 4). Extract the cover screws and slide the cover off the computer to expose the internal components.
- 5). Touch an unpainted metal object periodically or wear a wrist grounding strap to keep static off your body as you work inside the computer.
- 6). Locate the expansion card area just inside the lower part of the computer's back wall. From the outside of the computer you can see the expansion card slots, which indicate that the card area is on the opposite side.

Start up the computer and install any software that came with the video card. See the card's documentation for the installation procedure, as there may be a software disc included in the packaging or instructions to download the software from the manufacturer's website.
