The Templo de la Caridad is located next to the Santo Domingo church. Its construction dates from 1712. Once part of the San Juan de Dios convent and hospital (the first hospital in San Cristóbal dedicated to treating indigenous people), the Templo de la Caridad is surrounded by stalls selling handicrafts. It has a splendid salomonic main altarpiece.
