    • 1). Tell your old Gmail account to make all its mail available via a POP connection. From Gmail's main screen, click the gear button, then click "Mail Settings." Click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab, then select the "Enable POP for All Mail" radio button and click "Save Settings."

    • 2). Log into your new Gmail account and open the "Settings" menu again. This time, select the "Accounts" tab. Click "Add a Mail Account You Own," then enter the address of your old Gmail account and click "Next Step."

    • 3). Enter your old account's username and password, and select "Pop.gmail.com" from the "POP Server" drop-down menu. Click "Add Account."

    • 4). Wait for your email to transfer. If your old Gmail account contained many messages, this may take a while -- up to several hours. With time, however, the entire contents of your old account will be transferred to your new account.
