Printer Ink Cleaning
- 1). Open the printer cover by lifting it up from the printer housing. Unclip the lock that holds the ink cartridge in place and remove it from the printer by lifting the cartridge upward and away from the printer housing.
- 2). Locate the print head on the printer ink cartridge. This is usually a pinhole at the top of the ink cartridge, but is sometimes on the bottom.
- 3). Place the tip of a cotton swab into warm water or isopropyl alcohol. Rub the wet swab against the print head, cleaning any printer ink that may be clogging the print head.
- 4). Replace the ink cartridge and run a test page to see if the printer ink is cleaned off the print head. If not, repeat steps 1 to 3.
- 1). Scrub the ink-stained surface with soap and water. Rinse completely.
- 2). Wash with an abrasive soap to remove the printer ink stain. Rinse.
- 3). Spray hair spray on the printer ink stain and let it sit for about 10 seconds. Remove the hair spray from the surface with soap and water and rinse thoroughly.
- 4). Make a paste with the oxygenated cleaning powder and warm water. Spread it over the printer ink stain and let it sit for several hours or overnight. Rinse. This method is ideal for porous surfaces such as fabric.
- 5). Dilute bleach with warm water using a 1 to 10 ratio. Soak the printer ink stain in the solution for several minutes. This method is not suitable for fabric or other porous surfaces. It is ideal for skin and hard surfaces such as plastic.
