How to Remove Wax from Glass Votives?

Remove any candel left in the votive

Boil water in a tea kettle. Let the water sit for 5 to 10 mintues so the water is not boiling hot.

Place the spoon in the votive and slowly begin pouring the water onto the ladel of the spoon. Don't touch the spoon as it will get very hot.

Fill the votive 3/4 to the top

The wax will float to the top

Take a paper towel and dip into the water. Skim the top to gather all the floating wax

Take out spoon using a hot pad and discard water.
