How to Paint Projector Screens
- 1). Position the projector so it casts the desired screen size on the wall.
- 2). Outline the rectangular projected image, using painter's tape.
- 3). Encourage adhesion by scouring previously painted walls with 100-grit sandpaper. Place a drop cloth beneath the area you plan to paint.
- 4). Apply latex primer to previously painted walls or adhesion problems may result. Roll a thin coat onto the rectangular space. Use a polyester brush to touch up the area if necessary. Let the base coat dry for two hours.
- 5). Wash each tool twice using tap water.
- 6). Roll two thin coats of projector screen paint onto the rectangular space. Use a polyester brush to touch-up the area if necessary. Wait two hours between coats. Remove the tape while the second coat is still wet.
