- 1). Click on the link in References and search by name using "Option 1-Find Notary by Name." Input the notary's first name, middle initial and last name. Indicate the notary's commission status if known.
- 2). Search by commission ID using "Option 2-Find Notary by Commission ID." In order to use this search option, you need to know the commission ID number of the notary you are searching for.
- 3). Search by address using "Option 3-Find a Notary Near You." Enter your address into the search fields. You must enter information into all fields. Choose the distance radius you want to search for. You can chose 10 miles, 20 miles or 30 miles.
- 4). Check the results. The results page gives information on the name of the notary and her business name, business address and telephone number. Select the option to "See History" and you will see her commission ID number, status, commission effective date and the date her commission expires.
