How to Animate GIF Files on PowerPoint
- 1). Click the "Insert" tab on the top left of the ribbon.
- 2). Select the "Clip Art" button. Type *.gif in the "Search for" box on top of the Clip Art box (on the right side of your screen).
- 3). Double-click on the GIF file you would like to insert into the PowerPoint.
- 4). Click on the "Animations" tab in the top ribbon. Choose "On Mouse Click" or "Automatically" by checking the appropriate box on the top right-hand side.
- 5). Choose "From Current Slide" in the top ribbon. The GIF will display on your slide.
- 1). Click on the "Insert" menu, then click on "Movies and Sounds."
- 2). Select "Movie from File," and find the GIF file you would like to add to the slide.
- 3). Double-click the file name.
- 4). Choose "Automatically" from the pop-up message to play the GIF when the slide is shown or "When Clicked" to show the GIF on your mouse click.
- 5). Click "Slide Show" to display the slides with the GIF playing.
