- 1). Open the vise by screwing its compression mechanism counterclockwise.
- 2). Insert the flat part of the metal saddle into the vise and close the vise around the saddle. Tighten until the clamp is secure, but not damaging its shape.
- 3). Pull the curved part of the saddle with your hands in the direction you would like it bent. Stop pulling when it reaches the desired angle. Do not bend the saddle more than once as this will weaken its structure.
- 4). Remove the saddle from the vise by opening its compression mechanism.
