- 1). Turn on the power to your Epson C88 printer. The power light should be illuminated and steady. Raise the cover on the printer.
- 2). Push the "Ink" button and quickly release it. The button is labeled with an ink drop for easy identification. Wait while the ink cartridge carrier relocates to the left side of the printer.
- 3). Repeatedly press and release the "Ink" button until the carrier relocates to the right side of the printer. Lift the cover on the cartridge carrier. Squeeze the release tab on the ink cartridge and lift it out of the carrier. Dispose of the old cartridge or recycle it at an office supply store.
- 4). Gently shake the new cartridge a few times before installing it. Remove the tape covering the contact points. Insert the cartridge into the carrier. Make sure it locks into place. Repeat the cartridge removal and replacement steps for any other empty cartridges.
- 5). Close the cover to the carrier, and close the printer cover. Press the "Ink" button to charge the ink cartridge system. Wait for the power light to stop flashing before printing.
