How to Seal a Cement Roof

104 32
    • 1). Clean the cement roof thoroughly, using a pressure washer and a trisodium phosphate cleanser. Scrub vigorously with a long-handled brush to get off any dirt and/or grime. Allow the surface to air-dry.

    • 2). Set a ladder just slightly back from the exterior wall.

    • 3). Pour concrete sealer into a paint tray, set it on the ground and get a paint roller with a handle extension.

    • 4). Rub the roller in the concrete sealer inside the paint tray. Climb the ladder until your chest is above the cement roof line, and then roll the sealer onto the cement roof. Allow the first coat to dry for between four and six hours, or as long as the manufacturer suggests.

    • 5). Apply a second coat of concrete sealer to your cement roof after the first coat has dried.
