Wide Receiver Miles Austin

106 1
An undrafted free agent who signed with the Dallas Cowboys in 2006, wide receiver Miles Austin had little impact as a receiver his first couple years with the team. He did, however, show some flashes of potential, especially during the 2008 season.
With enigmatic receiver Terrell Owens released by the team following the 2008 season, a hole was opened in the offense that was expected to be filled by veteran Roy Williams.

But it was Austin who took advantage of Owens' departure, blossoming into the Cowboys' biggest playmaker in the passing game and the team's No. 1 option on the outside.

In 2009, Austin caught 81 passes for 1,320 yards and 11 touchdowns, all career highs by far.

The team also invested a first-round pick in 2010 on receiver Dez Bryant, indicating they recognize the mistake they made in giving up so much for Williams in a trade with the Detroit Lions.
