The Role Talent Can Play in Modern Economies

103 2
The empowerment of youth is the foundation for planning a better future.
Therefore policy makers in governments, cooperate bodies as well as entrepreneurs and investors might find it useful to consider the venture of talent management when making investment decisions.
The Eurostat, a statistical division of the European Union figures for the number of unemployed citizens within the Euro area and the Eu27 rose from 11.
7 % in October 2012 to 11.
8% in November 2012, and at 10.
7% respectively.
Looking at the rate at which youth unemployment has risen and continue to increase even within the European Union despite major investment by the union to create employment for all, a little can be said about the underdeveloped continent like sub Saharan Africa and their strategic measures to address youth unemployment issues.
Youth unemployment can however be resolved else where in the world when much attention is given to talent management.
While this issue can be addressed according to the exclusive nature of various countries, I would like to place more emphasis in the European Union, most specifically Finland.
Though a major turn of investment into talent management might not produce a profitable outcome in such countries like Spain which current unemployment stands at 26.
6%,and Greece 26.
0%, it might work magic for a country like Finland which current unemployment rate stands at 7.
9%.
Nonetheless, there is still a chance that investment into talent management can bring a positive outcome to all economies worldwide.
Analyzing the unemployment rate of Finland which has in the past few years stand at 7.
6% and still increasing, more can be done about investment into talent management.
Out of the many unemployed Finnish youth you will talk to, you will realize that out of 3, two will attribute their unemployment situation to lack of interest in taking any other available job position or the lack of interest in pursing any other career in school as opposed to what they wish and are willing to commit to, but which is not accessible to them.
It is in this view that much attention might be needed to be given to the investment area of talent management.
Nonetheless, some of this group of youth may still choose to stay unemployed and unproductive despite major governmental initiatives steered towards talent development and entrepreneurship as a result of low self esteem and fear of public ridicule.
That, brings to the fore the role parents and family members need to play in the early stages of a child,s life in giving them all the moral booster and support to search, identify and pursue their dreams without any undue influences.
