Making Money With Amazon - 5 Important Points That You Should Consider

103 8
There seem to be more online courses at the moment offering to teach us 'How to sell on Amazon' than any other type of 'work at home' business, so I would just like to share these 7 points with you, but before I do I would like to declare that I am an Amazon Affiliate, but only in a very small way.
Getting started with Amazon as an affiliate is very easy.
I know quite a few people that are planning to open 100 websites promoting Amazon products, some of course intend to open only five or ten.
That's fine.
Let us take a look.
The Good Points
  • People love Amazon.
I love Amazon, they are nice and easy to deal with.
  • They are very reliable and trustworthy, both their range of products and their service are first class.
  • They will also dropship for you, so you don't have to worry about supplies or posting and packing.
The not so good points
  1. Yesterday I renewed one of my domain names with GoDaddy it is a.
net name and to renew it for a year cost me $14.
    26.
If I had 100 Domains it would cost me $118 a month in domain renewals plus about $10 a month for hosting them on HostGator and another $20 a month to Aweber for emailing and contact services.
    That's about $150 a month in total.
  2. Amazon pays between 3% to 5% in commissions so just as an example if they paid an average of 4% you would need $4000 in sales each month just to pay the $150 overheads, and don't forget the tax man.
Of course that is only an example, you can have as few or as many sites as you wish.
But less sites means less sales.
  3. At the moment there are four Domain Titles of any prominence, they are .
    Com, .
    Net, .
Org, and the newly introduced .
Co, there are very few 'good' domain names left.
So there are a lot of people fishing in the same pool.
The theory that a person can create a website and then forget about it is just not true, for Google to track domain sites they need to regularly provide new content.
  4. Amazon is big, but there are two much bigger players in this game.
The Government and Goggle, so as to give everybody a better deal Google has recently changed the rules regarding the search engines.
Will they change the rules again when ordinary businesses are being underpriced so much that it is not worth them using the Internet to advertise any longer?
  5. Will Google simply stop promoting Amazon related sites? they very easily could, its as easy as that.
Also the Government is now losing money because the stores in our towns are closing down as they cannot compete with the internet traders like Amazon, so the Government is not collecting enough taxes.
This is why Amazon will no longer trade in Colorado, Rhode Island, North Carolina or Illinois.
How much longer can it possibly be before the other States are forced to follow them? And If they do what will your Amazon sites be worth then?
