As Vancouver ranked many times as the top in the world for quality of life, there are plenty of interesting things to see and do in British Columbia's biggest city. From walking among totem poles in Stanley Park, to savoring the authentic delights of Chinatown, the problem might not be having things to do, but having enough time to do them. To help you pack it all in, a number of companies offer motorized tours through the city.

    Landsea Tours

    • This British Columbia-based tour company owns 11 buses and 12 minibuses, taking visitors on adventure-oriented sightseeing tours throughout the province. Typical tours include the Vancouver city tour, Grouse Mountain tour, whale watching adventures, as well as floatplane and Zodiac tours of Victoria and the surrounding area. The company also offers custom tours, giving you the chance to choose your adventure.

    Big Bus Vancouver

    • Catching the Big Bus Vancouver allows you to see the main attractions of Vancouver from the top of an open double-decker bus -- British-style. Riders can hop on and off the bus as many times as they wish, stopping at sights like Gastown, Vancouver Art Gallery, Robson Street Shopping District and Chinatown. Tickets are available at the Big Bus website, or by going to the Big Bus welcome center. Tickets cost $45 for an all-day adult fare.

    Vancouver Trolley

    • Much like the Big Bus, the Vancouver Trolley allows riders to get off at whatever stops they choose along the route, though these take place in replicas of the old San Francisco Trolleys. The tour company's two trolley routes stop at many Vancouver hotels and hot spots, including six stops in Stanley Park, as well as Granville Island and Gastown. The company also does charter trips.
