How to Do Animated GIF in Adobe CS3
- 1). Load the images that you want to use in your GIF slideshow onto your computer. Save them all to the same folder and number them in the sequence you want to use them in the animation.
- 2). Open Photoshop CS3. Select "File" from the menu and choose "New." In the dialog, enter the width and height for your GIF animation. Name it "GIF 1" and click "OK."
- 3). Select "File," "Open." In the dialog box, open the first image you want to use. Use the "Copy" and "Paste" functions under "Edit" to place this image in the "GIF 1" document.
- 4). Repeat step 3 to add in sequence all of the images for the animated GIF. Select "Window" from the menu and choose "Animation."
- 5). Click on the drop-down arrow in the upper-right corner of the timeline. Choose "Make Frames from Layers."
- 6). Go to the bottom of each frame in the timeline and set the "Duration" for each frame in seconds or fractions of a second.
- 7). Select "File," "Save for Web or Devices." Set the file type to "GIF." Click on the "Four Up" tab on the left and choose the file size version you want. Click "Save" and name your file. Click "Save" again.
