How to make a sheath out of cardboard

    • 1). Measure and cut out a piece of cardboard that is as long and four times as wide as the knife you would like to sheath.

    • 2). Dissect the cardboard lengthwise with the ruler. Use the pen to press a crease into the cardboard. This crease will act as the place around which you will fold the cardboard. Cut a 1-inch notch in one end of the crease.

    • 3). Fold the flaps made from the cardboard on the two sides of the 1-inch notch upward using the ruler as a fulcrum.

    • 4). Cut off one of the flaps with the exacto knife.

    • 5). Fold the cardboard in half along the lengthwise crease. Fold the flap up over the end of the cardboard. Tape along the edge of the sheath and around the bottom to secure the flap.

    • 6). Slide your knife in the finished sheath.

How to make a belt loop for knife sheath

    • 1). Cut a section of cardboard that is as wide as the finished sheath and 1 foot long. Fold it in half lengthwise.

    • 2). Wrap duct tape around its entire length. Fold it in half along its width.

    • 3). Fasten the loop to the sheath with duct tape, leaving enough cardboard extending out to accommodate your belt's width.
