How to Expand a Linux Partition

    • 1). Open your Linux Terminal. Access to this depends on your operating system; check your documentation if unsure.

    • 2). Type "gparted" and press "Enter."

    • 3). Select a drive in the bottom pane of GParted.

    • 4). Select the partition you want to expand. Click "Partition" and then "Restore/Move."

    • 5). Click and drag the edge of the partition to the right to make use of the unallocated space. This expands the partition. Click "Resize."
