If your dog constantly ignores you then you might want to think about ways to get him to listen. While getting him to listen can be hard at times especially if your dog is a male and a female is in heat, but even then it is not impossible to get him to listen. Now I know that the training will help get your dog to listen to you better than if he was not trained or you tried to train him yourself without some sort of guidance. Now I know that from experience I have tried training my dogs before I had taken them to an obedience course or found a class online and the results were mixed because I needed some guidance.

Now in obedience training if your dog is not listening you will want to pay attention to the instructor and what he or she tells you to do. Even if it is in a printed format or electronic book format you will be able to learn how to train your dog properly.

Proper training of your dog will have the best results in getting your dog to start to listen to you. I know that most obedience classes teach you how to get your dog to sit, stay, and wait. All of these training topics will help you build on the concept that you are the boss of your dog. Once you establish that you are the boss you will be able to get him to listen to you better.

Obedience training is a great concept to help you get your dog to listen. Now granted your dog might not pick up on that he is supposed to be listening to you right away. However, with the training that is available you will be able to establish your dominance over your dog and manage to get him to listen better. While you get your dog to sit, stay, and wait all of these will be leading you to help get your dog to listen to you.
