Needlepoint an Easter Egg Hunt with This Free Chart

106 18
Colorful needlepoint eggs are hidden slightly among blades of grass in this fun Easter needlepoint design for Day 78 of the 365 Needlepoint New Year’s Resolutions Challenge. If your kids get excited about being part of an Easter Egg Hunt each year; then they will get ecstatic over a needlepoint version, made by mom or grandma, of their favorite Easter pastime.

The completed needlepoint project can be made into a variety of finished items because of its small design that’s a little over 4 inches wide and 2 inches high.

You can decorate a pair of jeans or a little girl’s dress; or even turn it into a headband, hair bow or easy needlepoint necklace. For home decorating ideas, applique the finished needlepoint onto hand towels, table runners or other items used in preparing your home for Easter. Since we are still a few weeks away from the Easter holiday, there’s enough time to start and finish today’s needlepoint project for egg hunts this year.

The project is portable enough to take with you wherever you go. Color selection is left up to you (with a little help from your child’s imagination and preferences). In addition to the pastel colors of spring, select bolder colors including vibrant blues, purples and pinks for Easter eggs and rich greens for the blades of grass.
