This doll was made by French dollmaker Gaultier. She has a bisque, swivel head with bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel eyes, painted features including feathered brows, and brunette mohair wig on cork pate. Additionally, this doll is wearing an original 9-piece regional outfit of the Morbihan, Brittany region of France. Doll wears 4-bar gold-plated cross.
Lace on coiffe, pantalets and sous-sleeves matches. Doll also has blue wool apron which is part of the outfit (not shown). French Fashion dolls, especially those in original costumes, continue to trend upward in price.
