What Can I Use to Clean My Empty Pool Liner?
- It is important when cleaning that you use soft materials with non abrasive surfaces. Cleaning with a sponge or soft cloth is recommended over a scrub brush.
- A mild cleaner---such as dish soap---should be diluted into the water and rubbed onto the surface with a soft sponge or cloth. Mix 1 tbsp. of detergent into 1 gallon of water and swirl to combine.
- It is not recommended completely drain an in-ground pool. The weight of the water is what holds the liner flat and keeps it from wrinkling. If the liner needs to be cleaned, it will need to be removed also.
- The liner will need to be completely dry before re-installing or storing for the winter. Lay the liner in the sun and dry with paper towels or bath towels until completely dry. Do not leave the liner in the sun for an extended period of time as the sunlight can shrink and make the liner brittle.
