Is Ron Paul Right About US and Israel Relations?

103 1
There is no doubt that the United States and Israel are close allies, after all, it was our nation that helped create that country.
In the US we have the largest Jewish Population in the world, more Jews live in the US than do in Israel.
President Obama also noted in a speech in Egypt that the United States has enough Muslims in it, which would make it the sixth largest Muslim populated nation.
Here in the US we allow everyone to live regardless of ethnic origins, religion, creed, or color; more power to us, we are indeed a great nation.
Many believe there can never be peace in the Middle East between Jews and Islam, but that may not be true, certainly in the short term it probably is.
Not long ago, an acquaintance said that their thoughts on this topic were in line with Ron Paul, who said that our interests are so aligned with Israel that it makes it tough for us to be taken seriously in peace negotiations that we sponsor between the Jews and hard core Islamists.
Of course, many people would disagree with Ron Paul on this point of contention, and further assert that every nation has the right to defend itself.
This would of course include Israel that has suffered by having terrorist organizations sponsored to the tune of $100 million per year by Iran as proxy terrorist groups shooting 10s of thousands of missiles into their country.
You see, if anyone or any group shot rockets into the United States of America would we for one second allow that; not a chance in hell say Ron Paul's debating opponents? Thus, the arguments that the US policies are too aligned with Israel are nonsense, we are aligned with peace.
And we are also aligned with Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan and many other nations in the region.
Please, let's get some real debate points from Ron Paul.
