4 More Rubbish Exercise Excuses

103 20
Below I give you four more rubbish excuses for not going to the gym.
1.
" The gym is boring" - if you managed to lose your gut or reach your bench press target months ago, you will need a new goal otherwise you will run out of motivation.
Whether it's to knock one minute off your 5K run time or add 3 cm to your biceps, having objective is a sure fire way to prevent gym boredom.
2.
"I'm too stressed to at work" - you know that once you have a great workout you feel great.
The reason for this is down to the endorphins which are filled with hormones and are released into your body after you carry out a strenuous activity.
These endorphins directly combat the levels of the stress hormone cortisol which will improve your mental and physical health.
Working out also gives you some excellent time to think over your problems and find a solution.
3.
" I've stopped seeing gains" - when you first start training your body changes shape quickly.
That's because when you first start your body was not used to training and made rapid changes to get you fitter and stronger.
But your body adapts to this training very quickly, which is why you need to keep it guessing by shaking up your training regime.
Spend a week doing exercises you've never done before and focus on those muscles you often neglect.
4.
"I'm embarrassed by my body" - it can be tough to get sweaty and out of breath in front of a room of strangers, especially if you are on the larger side.
However stepping into the gym is the hardest part.
Once you start to have a clear goal and training plan, you will probably find that you enjoy it.
