- 1). Measure the head in inches, just above the eyebrow, with a cloth measuring tape. Use this measurement to determine the helmet size needed from the manufacturer's sizing chart.
- 2). Buy a helmet that is suitable for the head size.
- 3). Place the cushions from the fit kit into the inside of the helmet.
- 4). Put the chin strap on the helmet by pressing the buttons on the chin strap to both sides of the helmet just under the ear holes.
- 5). Tighten the chin strap by pulling the strap on either or both sides toward your ears.
