High blood pressure is one of the major problems faced by many people these days.
The moment you know that you are having blood pressure, the doctor will put you on medication.
But there are other ways to control this problem, the simplest of which is to control your diet.
If you can do that right in the beginning you will be able to reduce this problem a lot.
It's not difficult to control your diet but what you need is some good amount of will power.
This way you will be able to resist the temptations of foods that re not good for you.
Here are some tips on what you should eat if you want to control your blood pressure.

If you are looking for an ideal food than the best suited for you are the ones which has low salt, low fat and cholesterol, have high vitamins and should have a good amount of magnesium and potassium in it.
This does not mean that you should stop eating or anything like that.
What you should do is cook in a different way, like eat sandwiches other than eating burgers; eat baked potatoes if you want to eat fries.

Try to eat home cooked foods as much as you can.
This way you will know what you are cooking.
Always use fresh vegetables, meat and try to avoid packed food as much as you can.
It will off course take more time but it is healthier and has got more benefits.
The taste will be better and it will be more nutrient to eat.
Most of the pre cooked foods have lost there nutrients and are not best for people with hypertension.

If you are looking for foods with more potassium in them you should look for Raisins, figs, seeds, nuts, tomatoes, potatoes, apricot, bananas and dried fruits.
They all contain good amount of potassium which is very necessary for people with high blood pressure issue.
4.
If you are looking for foods with magnesium you should eat broccoli, oysters, spinach, grain, wheat and beans.
These are some of the things you can eat.
