How to Enjoy Being a Grandparent

Enjoying being a grandparent is a true little perk that life gives us the opportunity to do.
There are a lot of ways that you can enjoy being a grandparent but you have to be sure and understand exactly what the parents have in mind or you may not get to do it as often as you would like.
New parents have different ideas about the way they want their children raised, than maybe we did.
Understanding the rules and what they expect of you can make for a good relationship between parents and grandparents.
By the way don't feel bad if you think some of the things your grandchildren's parents want you to do seem weird because they are to use.
I never had a list to go by when I got ready to feed my kids,I just feed them or waking them up to feed them on a schedule.
Once again it will make your visits with your grandchildren easier and more plentiful if you just do it.
Grandparents and grandchildren both have to know the rules.
We already know our grandchildren are perfect, I think it was said best here by Doug Larson and I would like to share it with you.
Doug Larson said it best: (The idea that no one is perfect is a view most commonly held by people with NO grandchildren.
~Doug Larson) Well I guess you can tell that I am one of those grandparents who thinks all her grandchildren as perfect ( and they really are) so I will share with you how I enjoy being a grandparent.

• I obey the rules set forth by my grandchildren's parents (or I try to) So we get along pretty good and when I ask if they can visit most of the time they can.
  
• Take The Time They Have To Give By this statement of take the time they have to give,I mean that you can't always have them exactly when you want them so make yourself available to the parents if they need a babysitter.
  I don't consider myself a babysitter but if they need one please let it be me.
  This is just more time I get to enjoy my grandchildren.
  
• Always be there for your grandchildren This will help you to enjoy the benefits of being a grandparent and sharing the love.
  If you grandchildren need to talk or they need a ride somewhere,take them and enjoy spending time with them on the ride.
  

In Summary: My take on how to enjoy being a grandparent may not be what yours would be because it is not something I have to work at.
I just simply love and enjoy being a grandparent.
