    • 1). Keep your infant well hydrated. Cow's milk should not be given to children under 1 year because, according to WebMD, it has possibly been linked to diabetes in infants. Nourish your baby on a diet of breast milk or formula and baby food.

    • 2). Give your child small, but frequent, meals. Too much food could additional stomach upset. Let your child nurse about every 40 minutes.

    • 3). Keep your baby on an incline. She might be suffering from reflux, when stomach contents travel upward toward the mouth. Reflux might not be a serious concern, but it can be uncomfortable for a baby so keep her lying on an incline both when she sleeps and after she eats.

    • 4). Monitor the vomiting. Gauge whether to see a doctor by paying attention to the child's overall appearance. Determine whether your child is happy or looks upset.

    • 5). See a doctor if there are more than three vomiting incidents. The doctor will determine if a prescription medication is necessary.
