Instructions to Using the Eternity Phone
- 1). Remove the Eternity's battery compartment cover by pressing down on it on the back of the phone. Slide the cover up and away from the rest of the phone. Carefully slide the SIM card into the SIM card socket (with the gold section facing downward) until the card locks into place. Insert the battery into the open space with the gold connectors aligning. Replace the battery cover.
- 2). Press and hold the red power button located on the front of the phone until the phone turns on. The phone will immediately launch into the activation splash screen. Follow the onscreen prompts and instructions to register the Samsung Eternity with the wireless network.
- 3). Tap the various icons on the screen to access different areas of the phone. To open your phone's menu, tap the "Menu" icon on the screen. Access your cellphone's contacts by tapping the "Contacts" icon. Open your clock and calendar by tapping the clock or calendar widget in the top left portion of the screen.
- 4). Press the "Contacts" icon located on the main screen. Select "Create Contact" from the new window to open the "Add New Contact" screen. Touch the sections labeled "First Name" and "Last Name," enter the names for the new contact and press "OK." Select the field titled "Phone Number" and enter the phone number of your new phone number. Press "Save" at the bottom of the window to save the new contact.
- 5). Touch the "Dial" icon located at the bottom of the touchscreen to initiate the calling process. Using the onscreen keypad, enter the phone number that you wish to dial. Press the physical green call button at the bottom of the screen to dial the number. After the call is finished, press the red power button to finish the call and return to the main screen.
- 6). Press the "Menu" button to bring up the Samsung Eternity's main menu. Select "Messaging" and tap "Create Message" to create a new text message. Choose "Tap to Add Recipient" to select a contact from your address book. After choosing a contact, tap the empty onscreen text field and use the virtual keyboard to type a message. Touch "OK" after the text has been written to review the message. Touch the "Send" icon at the bottom of the screen to send the message.
