Swollen, Tight and Numb Sensations
The thing is, it is not just numb; it feels as though they are swollen so big that the skin feels tight and is numb.
However, if you look at my fingers they look normal.
I had the same sensations the other day but in my ankles and feet.
My leg pains have been unbearable.
It has been very difficult to fall asleep.
I end up staying up til 1 or 2 in the morning before I take enough medicines to fall asleep and then of course it is difficult to wake up in the morning.
I don't know what the issue is.
I know it is the MS but I don't understand these weird sensations and feelings.
Those are not normal.
NORMAL for me is burning, prickling, and tenderness.
Of course then I am still dealing with the swollen stomach due to the intestinal thing.
I will say that the Magnesium capsules are helping some but my stomach is swollen as though I am 4 months pregnant.
Thank God I am not pregnant.
But it sure would make it easier to explain when people see me.
Intestinal problems are a common problem due to MS affecting the nerves.
Your intestines need many nerves to be working together to absorb the nutrients and then pass through the colon.
If the nerves that are being affected by MS happen to be the nerves that work on the intestines then comes the problems of either constipation or diarrhea.
If you are experiencing problems with intestinal problems it is important not to assume it is the MS.
Talk to your Doctor or Gastro Intestinal Doctor and have them run some simple tests.
If it is the MS that is causing the problems.
There are options to correcting these problems and or medications.
