- The Point is a 75-acre luxury resort located on the banks of Upper Saranac Lake near Paul Smiths. Originally the home of William Avery Rockefeller as an Adirondack retreat, it offers 11 individually designed, pet-friendly guest quarters that include antiques, Adirondack furniture with sitting areas and fireplaces. The nightly room rates are all-inclusive, which includes all meals, daily afternoon tea, unlimited wine and liquor, as well as use of sports equipment and facilities.
In addition to the resort's standard amenities, guests can receive a range of in-room spa services including spa treatments (including Swedish, deep-tissue, pre-natal and reflexology); beauty and hair treatments; and 60-minute private yoga sessions. The daily menu uses fresh ingredients with attention to any dietary restrictions and food allergies (if necessary). Guests have access to the indoor heated swimming pool (Saranac Lake's only indoor heated pool), coin-operated laundry facilities and the outdoor deck, which provides views of Mount Baker and Lake Flower. It also includes meeting facilities for up to 60 people with the latest audio-visual equipment.
On-site dining is available at McKenzie's Grill, a family-style restaurant that offers a breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets as well as a sit-down dinner menu.
