How to Create a CDI File

    • 1). Click the "File" option and then click "New Task." The New Task window opens.

    • 2). Click the "Create CD and DVD Images" option in the New Task list and then click "OK." The Create New Image window opens with the "Explorer" tab active. The left panel contains the navigation panel for the file system, and the right pane contains the list of files to be included in the CDI image.

    • 3). Drag files and folders from the left panel into the right panel to add files and folders to the CDI image.

    • 4). Click the "CD/DVD Image" tab and then click the "Destination" tab.

    • 5). Click the word "Destination" in the left panel to open the file navigator. Navigate to and click on the location where the image will be saved. The default name of "Image1.cdi" is inserted for the image. Change this name as desired, but do not change the ".cdi" extension. Make sure the check box is checked for the location select in the "Destination" window.

    • 6). Click the "Disk" icon under the word "Destination" to create the image. The image is saved to the specified location, with the specified file name along with the file extension of ".cdi."
