Leafy Seadragon #1

The Leafy Seadragon exhibit at the Waikiki Aquariums was undoubtedly THE most fascinating of all we saw during a visit in April 2003 to see what was new since our tour in 1998. Mesmerized, we must have stood at least 30 minutes in front of this tank watching these graceful and elegant creatures, taking as many pictures as possible. This was not an easy task because even though they are slow moving animals, they actively glide around, which made most of the images blurry, and the tank was cylintrical in shape and lit darkly with orange colored lights, which required the use of the camera flash that created a problem with flash reflection due to the rounded tank walls.

Fortunately, from all the photos we took, here are five that came out pretty well.
