How to Make Yourself Older in GIMP
- 1). Load the photo you want to edit onto your computer, either by transferring it from a digital source, like a camera, or by scanning it in.
- 2). Start the GIMP application. Select "File" from the menu and choose "Open." In the dialog that appears, locate and open the photo you loaded.
- 3). Click on the "New Layer" button at the bottom of the "Layers" panel. Select the "Path" tool from the toolbar. Use it to draw a line just below the spot where you want a wrinkle.
- 4). Go to the tool options and click on "Stroke Path." Select "Filters" from the menu and choose "Drop Shadow." In the dialog, make the "X" 0, the "Y" -2 and the "Blur" 2. Click "OK." Delete the top layer.
- 5). Use the "Eraser" tool to taper the edges of the shadow and the "Dodge" tool to add highlights under the shadow. Repeat this process to add wrinkles wherever you like.
