Consult your computer's instruction manual on how to remove the face plate and keyboard. The face plate will usually be attached by several plastic hinges; remove these with care using your fingers or a small screwdriver.

Remove the keyboard from the laptop by removing the four or more screws located near the corners of the keyboard with a screwdriver. Make sure all the screws are removed when attempting to remove the keyboard; if you meet resistance when lifting up the keyboard, make sure you did not miss one.

Examine the area around the laptop's display unit. You should notice several screws connecting it to the base of the laptop computer. Carefully remove these screws with a screwdriver then gently separate the laptop's display unit from the base.

Disconnect the video cables and WiFi from the laptop's base and remove the display manually from the laptop.
