How to Replace an AA Battery Ion LI Rechargeable
- 1). Open the AA-sized battery panel on your device so you can remove the existing Li-Ion battery. Battery panels can open several ways; either release the clip using your fingers so the panel pops up then flip it open or slide the panel to one side using your fingers. If the panel is held in place by a small screw, then use a suitably-sized screwdriver to undo the screw then them remove the panel using your fingers.
- 2). Remove the Li-Ion battery from the battery compartment. If the battery fits into a tube it's simplest to turn your device upside down using your hand to cover the battery compartment, then the battery slides out into your hand. If the battery lays flat in the battery compartment, then pry out one end from the terminal connector using your fingers and then lift out the battery.
- 3). Put your replacement AA-size Li-Ion battery into the battery compartment. Look on the inside of the battery cover or the battery compartment to work out which way the positive and negative terminals need to go. Slide the battery into the tube or if it goes in flat, lay one end against one of the terminals in the battery compartment and press down on the opposite end using your fingers until it clicks into place.
- 4). Replace the battery panel. Either flip it closed, then press the edge so it clicks shut or slide the panel into place. If the panel is held in place using a screw then use the screwdriver to tighten the screw.
