Extreme Sports Holidays in Greece
Tourists travelling to the north of the island can head for Sidari. The area is far more family-oriented than Kavos so there is fun to be had, but it doesn't get too wild in the evenings. During the day, holidaymakers can choose from a variety of water based pursuits, which include being dragged on the back of a speed boat on different inflatables to paragliding. The latter gives riders a good view of Albania and the Greek mainland in the distance. Although Corfu lacks the sites of historical interest that are common on some of the other islands, there are some places that are worth a visit.
Corfu town, the island's capital, lies at its geographical centre so can be reached easily from either Kavos or Sidari. Visitors can often be seen enjoying an afternoon drink beneath the ornate arches of the Liston, an elegant street built to resemble Paris' Rue de Rivoli. Corfu town is also the pickup point for island cruises and ferries to the mainland, so there is every reason for tourists to go, if only to catch a boat to see somewhere else on their all inclusive holidays in Greece.
Anyone who's on the hunt for extreme sports should also head to Rhodes. Trianda and Theologos beaches are best for wind sports such as paragliding and especially for windsurfing. When it comes to bungee jumping and similar pastimes, holidaymakers should head for Faliraki, one of Greece's top resorts for youthful travellers who are looking for a good time. By day, the beaches are heaving and the coastal waters are full of speed boats towing paragliders and various inflatables that bounce off of every wave. When the evening comes, the crowded beaches empty into the strip for a wild night of partying before the sunbathing and watersports start again the next day. Greece holidays certainly satisfy tourists who love to dabble in extreme sports during their time off.
