- 1). Go to the Records Division of the Houston Police Department (houstontx.gov) to request a copy of your police report. Provide as much information about the report as you can to the records officer: the type of incident, the name of the parties involved and the report number and/or the date of the incident.
- 2). Fax a letter requesting a copy of a police report to the Houston Police Department at 713-308-3260. Include the information on the police report as well as your name and mailing address; reports cannot be faxed to you, they must be mailed.
- 3). Send an email request for a police report to hpd.openrecs@cityofhouston.net. Include your name and address and the information on the police report, such as the incident number, the date of the incident and the names of the involved parties.
- 4). Mail a letter to the Houston Police Department requesting a copy of a police report (houstontx.gov). In the letter you need to provide your name and address and the information listed on the police report.
